1. Write in the combined amount of your tithe and weekly offering would be.
2. Go through the budget and fill in ¼ of the amounts you must allocate each month for “Fixed Expenses”. By setting aside ¼ of the monthly amount each week, the money will be available when the bill arrives.
3. Next, add up what is left of your weekly (bi-weekly, monthly) take home pay, and distribute it into the remaining areas by priority.
· If you run out of money, you may have to go back and readjust the amounts for each category.
4. One of the best methods for protecting your funds I in each category is to have separate envelopes appropriately labeled.
· When you need the cash for that activity, go to the envelope and take out the available money.
· When the money is not available in the specific envelope, resist the temptation to borrow from another envelope.
5. Each time the amount in the Savings Envelope reaches $ 100, put it in an interest bearing account at your bank.
